Sacha Lee (Head Coach)
Sacha has been involved in Calisthenics since 1985. Now a Life Member, she joined West Coast Calisthenics Club as a Junior and has been a loyal member for 26 years. Sacha has competed in teams and as a soloist and has been selected as a representative in WA state teams on three occasions.
Sacha began her coaching career in 1991 and is a fully qualified Level 1 Coach. She has extensive coaching experience across all age groups and has coached teams to win eleven A grade Division 1 State Championships and 3 National Championships. Sacha was nominated for WA Coach of the Year in 2000 (Womensport West Finalist) and 2008.
Sacha has a Bachelor of Education (Primary) degree and currently teaches in junior primary full time. In 2012 Sacha is coaching West Coast Sub-Junior Team 1, as well as continuing in her role of Head Coach.
Lorinda Brooking
2012 is Lorinda's first year at West Coast Calisthenics Club, having recently moved from South Australia to the West. In South Australia, Lorinda had coached every age group at the Seaton Calisthenics Club. She has completed Calisthenics skills gold medal with Honors, participated in numerous state and national Calisthenic teams and solo competitions, won solo and graceful girl competitions throughout South Australia and also placed Nationally.
Lorinda has been trained in Gymnastics, Ballet, Modern Dance, Tap and Sports Aerobics. She has competed in Calisthenics teams and solos for over 20 years, participated in cheerleading, theatre shows, drill team and sports aerobics overseas. Lorinda has also been the assistant coach for the 2008 Junior South Australian National Team, 2009 Intermediate South Australian National Team and 2011 Intermediate South Australian National Team. Lorinda is a Life Member of Seaton Calisthenics and is looking forward to joining the coaching team at West Coast.
In 2012 Lorinda will be coaching West Coast Intermediates, Team 2.
Monica Chester
Monica began Calisthenics in 2000 as a member of West Coast Calisthenics Club. In her years of Calisthenics, Monica has performed in seven West Australian State Teams and has also competed in the Royal South Street competitions at Ballarat once as a senior.
Monica is a fully qualified first year Level One coach with the Calisthenics Association of Western Australia, having assisted at West Coast calisthenics club from 2006-2010 and coaching in 2011. In 2012 Monica is coaching West Coast Sub-Junior Team 2 as well as competing as part of the West Coast Seniors.
Currently Monica is studying a Bachelor of Education at Edith Cowan University and continues competing in calisthenics at a Senior level.
Katherine Donegan
Katherine has been involved with Calisthenics since 1997. She has been a member of the West Coast Calisthenics Club for 16 years, and has also represented WA in multiple state teams. Katherine has coached tines, sub junior and junior teams over the past five years and has also assisted many teams. She is a qualified Level 1 Coach. Katherine continues to compete in calisthenics at a senior level and in 2012 will be coaching West Coast Tinies and Juniors Team 2.
Katherine is an Exercise Physiologist after completing a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Rehabilitation.
Lynette Donegan
Lynette started calisthenics in 1991 with the West Coast Calisthenics Club and was a competitor for 20 years. She has performed numerous graceful solos as well as represented WA in the Senior State Team, which was crowned the National Champions in 2005 and 2007. Lynette has also performed twice at the prestigious Royal South Street Competition in Ballarat with the West Coast seniors.
Lynette is a qualified Level 1 coach and began coaching in 2002. She has coached the sub-juniors, juniors and intermediates at West Coast with the seniors being the new challenge for 2012. As well as coaching numerous graceful solos, physical solos and duos, Lynette was appointed the Assistant Coach for the WA Sub-Junior State Team in 2011 and is the Assistant Coach for the Junior State Team in 2012.
Lynette is a Medical Imaging Technologist outside of Calisthenics and is looking forward to coming out of retirement to compete with the West Coast Seniors again in 2012 as a competitor/coach.
Amanda Esson
Amanda has been involved in Calisthenics since 1989 when she enrolled at West Coast Calisthenics as an elementary (now Tinies) at two and a half years old. She was a competing member of West Coast for 20 years in all sections from Sub-juniors to Seniors and was selected for the West Australian State Team as a Sub-junior and Intermediate. She has also competed at the prestigious Royal South Street competition in Ballarat with West Coast teams as a Junior and Intermediate.
Amanda is a fully qualified Level 1 coach who began coaching in 2004. She has since coached age groups from Tinies to Intermediates, as well as coaching numerous graceful solos, physical solos and duos.
In 2012 Amanda will take on the role of Relief Coach at West Coast while she begins postgraduate study.
Kara Galea
Kara started Calisthenics in 1990 at age 3 as a Tiny with the Wembley Calisthenics Club, before moving to Whitfords Calisthenics Club as a Sub-Junior. In 1997 Kara joined West Coast Calisthenics Club as a first year Junior and competed through to Senior level, retiring at the end of 2010. During her time competing, Kara was part of many successful State Championship West Coast teams, as well as performing with the West Coast Intermediates at the prestigious Royal South Street Competition in Ballarat. She also represented Western Australia 6 times as a State Team Member for all sections and has been fortunate to be part of 3 winning State Teams in 2003, 2007 & 2009.
Kara commenced coaching in 2005 and has since coached Tinies, Sub-Junior, Junior and Intermediate teams, graceful solos, physical solos and duos of every age group, as well as the Calisthenics Association of WA Promotion Team in 2011. Kara has assisted Western Australia's Junior State Team in 2005 & 2006, and was the 2nd team coach for the Sub-Junior team that competed in Canberra in 2010 and placed 2nd. In 2012 Kara will be coaching the Western Australian Sub-Junior State Team as Team 1 Coach.
Kara continues to coach numerous graceful solos, physical solos and duos and in 2012 will be the West Coast Junior Team 1 coach.
Rhana Ingham
Rhana started competing at West Coast Calisthenics Club in 1988 and continued competing for 17 years. During her time as a Calisthenic competitor Rhana competed in five State Teams and represented Western Australia at the National Championships in graceful solos five times. In 2002 she was fortunate enough to win the National Senior graceful girl title. Rhana has also been nominated for the Senior Sportstar of the year on three occasions.
Rhana began coaching at West Coast Calisthenics Club and has taught teams from Tinies through to Seniors. During her time coaching teams at West Coast she has won eleven State Championships. Rhana has also coached two State Teams to compete at Nationals and gained 2nd place with both her Sub-Junior and Junior Team. Rhana was nominated as WA Coach of the Year in 2005, 2010 and 2011.
Rhana is now a Life Member of West Coast Calisthenics Club and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nutrition as well as a Graduate Diploma in Education.
Tarryn Kluge
Tarryn began Calisthenics in 1996 as a member of Carine Calisthenics Club. She has since been involved with Athena Calisthenics Club and is now a member of both West Coast Calisthenics Club and Imperial Calisthenics College. In her years of Cali, Tarryn has competed in several West Australian State Teams and has represented the state as a soloist on three occasions. As a 15 and 16 year old, Tarryn won the State Intermediate Graceful Championship, and in 2008, placed third in the National Intermediate Graceful Competition.
In 2007 and 2008, Tarryn was nominated for both Junior Sports Star of the Year and Junior Sports Women of the year. 2011 saw the West Coast Senior Team, of which Tarryn is still a competing member, travel to Ballarat to participate in the Senior Team Championship section at the prestigious Royal South Street Competition.
Tarryn began coaching in 2008 and is a fully qualified Level One coach with the Calisthenics Association of Western Australia. 2012 will see her Coach the West Coast Sub-Junior 4 team and the Imperial Tinies team.
Ashley Schroeder
Ashley began Calisthenics in 1990 at West Coast Calisthenics Club. She is a proud club member who has been performing for over 20 years. She has competed in twenty State Championships, eight State Teams, and 3 Ballarat Eisteddfods and represented Western Australia seven times as a soloist at Nationals. In 2011 Ashley was fortunate enough to win her solo at the National Championships and place third in her graceful at the prestigious Ballarat Royal South Street Eisteddfod.
Ashley is a fully qualified Level 1 coach with over ten years coaching experience. She has coached all age groups from Sub-Juniors through to Seniors, including multiple teams and individuals winning State Championship titles. In 2007 Ashley won the CAWA Coach of the Year award.
Ashley also holds a Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching. In 2012 Ashley will be coaching West Coast Intermediates, Team 1.
ROCHELLE WOOD
Rochelle Wood
Rochelle has been a member of West Coast Calisthenics since 1986 & in 2005 received Life Membership with the club. In her years of competing she has performed in six West Australian State Teams and has represented the State as a Soloist on four occasions.
Rochelle is a fully qualified Level 1 coach with the Calisthenics Association of Western Australia. She began her coaching career with West Coast in 1995 & has coached all age groups of the club throughout the last 17 years. Rochelle has also been successful in gaining positions with the Calisthenics Association of Western Australia coaching the State Team on eleven occasions.
In 2012, Rochelle will be coaching West Coast Seniors, Team 1
